However, since English has only recently become attractive to Chinese people, language remains a big problem for a convenient and comfortable visit. While Independent travel is very attractive, most foreigners cannot speak Mandarin Chinese. Moreover, they don’t need to in big cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Guangzhou. However, learning some key phrases can certainly enhance travel in China. One can gain a great sense of accomplishment when navigating a unique culture as if it’s a piece of cake. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity for you to make local friends. So c’mon, let’s begin this wonderful journey before you even land!

我会晚一点到达,请保留所预订的房间。(wǒ huì wǎn yì diǎn dào dá, qǐng bǎo liú suǒ yù dìng de fáng jiān.)
I’ll arrive late, but please keep my reservation.
